An Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregration, St. Andrew in the Mountains Lutheran Church seeks God's will for the mission and ministries to which we are called together. Pastor George Simmons' long, fruitful ministry, serving congregation and community with distinction, is both treasured and the tradition that we faithfully continue. Trusting the Holy Spirit's guidance, St. Andrew strives to discern the calling of a new pastor, but this time of transition is not merely waiting: transition is a time of exploration and exciting possibilities as our Lord leads us in the present and into the future.
All ministries continue! You are invited to join us each Sunday at 9:30 for the Adult Sunday School class as we learn about scripture through lively conversation and study. At 11:00 we celebrate Holy Communion in joyful liturgical worship, hearing God's Word that prepares and sustains us to answer Christ's command to "Go and tell." In service to all, the Saints and Sinners men's group provides a ministry of feeding to congregation and community. The Women of the ELCA and the Loving Hands Sewing Circle are opportunities for prayer, study and service. Youth are active and capable worship assistants and they join in occasional activities together.
By God's good grace, St. Andrew is a small yet vibrant and active congregation. You are invited to join us in worship, learning and service that began in this place nearly 100 years ago. Come! Be partners in the Gospel with us, as together we live for "Jesus, our blessing, our constant surprise!"*
